Seoul National University Elementary School was established as Hansung Elementary School in April 1895 and renamed as Seoul National University Elementary School in January 2014. SNUES boasts a long history and tradition of more than 120 years, and has produced more than 10,000 talented people and has been doing our best to train students to play a pivotal role in all parts of Korea. As a permanent research institution connected to the Ministry of Education, a teacher training facility, with specialization towards students returning from overseas, it has become a great pride in education in Korea and continues to lead the future of elementary education in the Republic of Korea.

SNUMS was established with the purpose of realizing the common core curriculum in middle school education, providing field experience for the students of SNU’s School of Education, and conducting continuous research. We continuously strive to create a school of solid fundamental values and to cultivate an enriching environment for all individuals. As the leader of education, we actively emulate the changing prospects of the future of education.

We aim to foster students’ creativity and talents. Subject-based classroom provides optimal learning environment for innovative education, and various art programs promote the balance between intelligence and personality. Furthermore, we actively collaborate with SNU to strengthen educational capacity. We are the caring educational community made up of endeavoring students and dedicated teachers.
