The Department of Mathematics Education, recognized as a national research leader in the fields of mathematics and mathematics education,
aims to significantly contribute to the improvement of research and practice in mathematics and mathematics education in the 4th industrial revolution and artificial intelligence era. Our program spans various fields in mathematics and mathematics education including algebra, analysis, geometry, topology, statistics, teaching and learning theories and practical methods, use of technology, and STEAM education strategies. Students have various opportunities to develop aptitude and personality related to mathematics education, improve mathematical communication skills, and foster competences for collaboration and leadership. We prepare students for their career aspirations as outstanding secondary mathematics teachers, mathematicians, mathematics educators, administers, and mathematics-/education-related company workers.
