Students in dept. of biology education would acquire the inquiry ability for knowledge creation as well as expansion of understanding in biological science and biological science education through the curriculum. Curriculum in dept. of biology education would serve academic basis for teacher knowledge, biological science and biological science education.

Students have the opportunity to inquire the biological phenomenon in nature through field biology activities such a “Field Biology and Instruction” course apart from the reductionism of the biological science. Also, students could acquire the literacy of the community as academic colleague.

Many alumni are committed to the education of next-generation students as secondary school teacher. The other alumni have gone to the graduate school and continue the research activity as university instructor or researcher.
