With the aim of fostering advanced research personnel who can actively contribute to the development of the country and industry by leading academic research and education in the field of sports in Korea, we are developing human potentials centered on physical movements based on the theory and practical research of sports science. The Institute of Sport Science serves as a research-oriented educational institution by aligning the study activities of graduate students and researchers with the research activities of the institute. The institute served as a world class professional educational research institute with excellent performance which won the 20th Korea Sports Awards in 1982 and the best research institute in the Arts and Physical Education field of SNU between 2007 and 2012.
